With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Colette (Fritz) Cheffer of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on November 19, 2023 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Fritz and Mary Fritz (Heimburger); her husband Paul G. Cheffer; her siblings, Aloysius, Bernard Fritz, Anna Rita Durand, Mary Jane Inkster, Angela Beauchamp and Sister Mary Carla; and her daughter-in-law Monica Cheffer.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim Cheffer of Bradley, Ron Cheffer (Elizabeth) of Omaha, Neb. and Marc Cheffer (Vicki) of Streator; her grandchildren, Stacey Larson (Jim), Tina Payne (Troy), Alina Borkowski (Byron), Amari Thomsen (Will), Ricky Cheffer, Jayne Jargese and Mary Cheffer; and her great grandchildren, Eva, Autumn, Eli, Aric Payne, Odette Thomsen, Oliver and Violet Robertson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
