It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Jean Villagomez of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert E. Ownbey and Dolores R. Themer-Ownbey-Garcia (Themer); her son Jose "Joey" Adolfo Villagomez; and her sisters, Patricia Ownbey and Nancy Wolford.
She is survived by: her husband Adolfo Villagomez of Kankakee; her son Ronald Ownbey (Duane Ownbey Sr.); her siblings, Alberta Gentz and Larry Ownbey; and her grandson Joey Ownbey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
