Brenda Sorensen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 66, Brenda Sorensen (Kankakee, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Moneymaker and Peggy Smith; and her granddaughter Caitlyn Meyer. She is survived by: her significant other Tom Asay; her children, Christopher Sorensen (Izabel) of North Carolina, Michael Watson of Grant Park, Matthew Watson (Monica) of Chebanse, Melissa Meyer (Jim) of Danforth, Amy Tamblyn (Jay) of Manteno and Julie LaLone (Nathan) of Limestone; and her sister Patti Moneymaker of Milford. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and two grandchildren on the way; one great-grandchild; and her dog.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
