She was predeceased by: her husband James Murphy; her sons, James Murphy Jr. and Charles Murphy; her children-in-law, Lornell Reid, Samual Adams and Karen Murphy; her siblings, Arthur Lee Hall, Prince Saine, King Scott, Mary Louise Herron, Idell Rhodes, Armie Woods, Queen Baylock, Paige Woods and Nicy Herron; and her stepchildren, John Marshall, Bob Earl Marshall, Jeffrey Marshall, Stella Taylor and Vera Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Murphy (Cindy) of Kankakee, IL, Gary Murphy of Zionville, IN, Terry Murphy of Broadview, IL, Myrtle Murphy-Reid and Elizabeth Ann Murphy-Adams of Milwaukee, WI; her stepchildren, Norva Barnett of Beloit, WI, Mandie Evans of Albany, OH and Marvin Marshall (Pearl) of Brookfield, IL; her son Gregory Davidson (Marniyah A. McCarter); her grandsons, Antwan Adams, Gifford Baily and Vernon Malone Jr.; and her daughters-in-law, Twilla Westbrook and Tonya Murphy. She is also survived by fifty-nine great-grandchildren, eleven great great-grandchildren.
