He is survived by: his parents, Lester Hood and Beverly Hood of Kankakee; his brother Marcus Hood (Moriya) of Katy, Texas; his nieces and nephews, Amir and Auri Hood; and his aunts and uncles, Charles Hood of Rex, GA, Joe Hood (Jerolynn) of Conyers, GA, Michael Hood (Josephine) of Bolingbrook, IL, Clarence Wright Jr. (Sheila) of Detroit, MI, Perry Wright of Kankakee, IL, Susan Rowlett (V'Arthur) of Matteson, IL, Charlene Hood of Plainfield, IL and Erica Harris-Carr (Timothy) of Blue Island, IL. He is also survived by cousins, great-uncles, and great-aunts.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lax Mortuary (187 S Greenwood Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
