He was predeceased by: his wife Elfrida; and his siblings, Arthur Russell, James "Ron" Russell and Carol Tolash. He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Russell and Sandra Passarelli (Rick); and his grandchildren, Erick Passarelli, Sam Passarelli, Amber Collevy (Michael), Shannon Diana (Andrew), Callum Collevy and Stella Diana. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
