He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Franz and Elaine Franz; and his brother Christian Franz. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bechtold; his siblings, Carol Carson (late Ernie), William Franz and Cindy Martin (Rich); his sisters-in-law, Marybeth Leonard (Greg) and Erica Burgess (Edmund); his nieces and nephews, Denise (Mike), Amy, Jennifer (Usama), Rachael (James) and Aleks (Christopher); and his pets, Cooper and Molly.
