He was predeceased by: his parents, Harbans Atwal and Baldev Atwal; and his sibling Dharampal. He is survived by: his spouse Sarbjeet; his children, Simirat Jhajj (Gurvir) and Jasmeet Atwal; his grandchild Selena; and his siblings, Kamaljit, Nirmal, Manjit and Daljit. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
