He is survived by: his wife Maria Palenica; his children, Maria Kois (Jozef Szewczyk), Wojciech Palenica (Boguslawa), Jan Palenica (Malgorzata) and Lukasz Palenica; his grandchildren, Mateusz Kois, Anna Kois, Magdalena Palenica, Aleksandra Palenica, Iwona Palenica, Justyna Palenica and Damian Palenica; and his siblings, Antonina Gruszka, Wladyslaw Gruszka (Janina), Zofia Fraczysta (late Kazimierz), Andrzej Gruszka (Zofia), Anna Lacek (late Wladyslaw) and Kazimierz Gruszka (Anna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
