He was predeceased by: his spouse Rita. He is survived by: his father Robert Saffrahn III (Brenda); his grandchildren, Nicole Cardinal (Tony) of Robert Saffrahn, Erin Hopkins, Katie Gulli (Tony), Erich Weber (Carli), Kylie Maloy and Abby Maloy; and his great grandchildren, Tony, Dylan, Carly, Ashton, Dominic and Caleb.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Veterans Home of Manteno, 1 Veterans Drive, Manteno, Illinois 60950 are appreciated.
