He is survived by: his siblings, Lucille, Annie, Joan, Beverly and Len; his wife Barbara Jean Borchardt; his children, Thomas De Somer (Cynthia), Timothy De Somer (Tammy), Linda Waliczek (Joel) and James De Somer (Michelle); his grandchildren, Caleb De Somer, Alexa De Somer, Zachary De Somer, Brandon De Somer (Katie), Bryan De Somer, Matthew De Somer (Mallory), Morgan De Somer, Christian Waliczek, Jacob Waliczek, Caden Waliczek and Grace De Somer; and his great grandchild Sadie De Somer.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roberts Road Bible Church (8419 S Roberts Rd, Justice, IL 60458).

He passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on the peaceful afternoon of November 14, 2024, at his home in Justice, Illinois, after a valiant battle with Parkinson's disease.
