With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mario Ortiz (Justice, Illinois), who passed away on December 7, 2022 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Roberto Abeja. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Zayra Ortiz; his children, Olivia Ortiz, Anthony Mario Ortiz, Arthur Ortiz, Andrew Ortiz and Oriella Ortiz; his parents, Elvia Ortiz and Ramon Ortiz; his siblings, Ramon Jr. Ortiz (Kris) and Elvita Ortiz; his pet Bambino; his siblings-in-law, Maribell Devitto (late Joseph), Beto Abeja, Jim Abeja (Tara) and Michael Abeja; and his mother-in-law Gloria. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, the Ortiz Family is asking that donations be sent to one of three institutions Baseball Institute, Morgan Park Academy or Nazareth Academy, to assist students with financial need.
