He was predeceased by: his child Krzysztof Kurzeja; his parents, Stefania Kurzeja and Jan Kurzeja; and his siblings, Antonina, Wladyslaw, Czeslaw and Maria.
He is survived by: his spouse Aniela Krzanowska; his children, Maria Gajek (Ryszard), Tadeusz Kurzeja, Ryszard Kurzeja (Boguslawa), Marzena Tomecki (Ryszard), Miroslaw Krzanowski (Halina) and Joanna Koltas (John); his grandchildren, Karina, Patrycja, Wiktor, Ewelina, Mateusz, Dawid, Sebastian, Oliwer, Olivia, Roxanna, Cassandra, Carl, Anna Maria and Arianna; and his siblings, Julia, Paulina, Janina, Zofia and Jadwiga. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
