He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Smolka and Michal Smolka; his siblings, Wojciech Smolka (Krystyna), Stanislaw Smolka (Anna), Barbara Skwara (Jerzy), Maria Slowik (Andrzej), Teresa Will (late Stefan) and Anna Koziolek (late Marian); and his siblings-in-law, Jozef Jaronczyk (Maria), Tadeusz Jaronczyk (Urszula), Halina Legutko and Kazimierz Jaronczyk (Krzystyna).
He is survived by: his wife Anna Smolka; his children, Rev. Marek Smolka and Magdalena Wosinski (Marek); and his grandchildren, Paulina Burzawa (Lukasz), Szymon Wosinski, Sylwia Wosinski and Sebastian Wosinski. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
