He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Flakus and John Flakus; and his sisters, Joan Christiansen and Jeannine Flakus. He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Alfery (Joseph) and Laura Volpe; his stepchildren, Anthony Biernat, Karen Biernat, Christopher Biernat (Jessica Runge), Patricia Biernat and Jeffrey Biernat (Julie); his grandchildren, Kyrstin, Chloe Alfery, Allie, Addison, Andi Runge, Mari, Vi Biernat, Hudson and Amelia Biernat; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Bien, Paul Bien (Pamela Harding) and Alia Bien. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
