Jerry Douglas Phelps Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Douglas Phelps (Justice, Illinois), who passed away on September 17, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Sarah Scheuing; his parents, Lillian Mae and William McKinley Phelps; his siblings, Bill Phelps, Donald Phelps, Bonnie Shumate, Hester Chamberlain and Evelyn Casey; and his father-in-law Eugene S. Gembara.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Phelps; his children, Ryan Phelps, Stephen Phelps, Jolene Gembara, Jill Gembara, Kristi Roy Rodriguez (Orlando), Anthony Gembara, Gerry Arroyo (Christopher), Dawn Scheuing (Mark), Kim Duffy, Debbie Caldario (Emil) and Jerry Gordon (Regina); his grandchildren, Olivia Campbell, Mia Phelps, Lexington Rodriguez, Nathan Romero, Anthony M. Gembara, Rakael Fidis, Jordan Tyler, Joshua Gembara, Mariah Tyler, Jacob Gembara, Robert Rodriguez, Nikolas Arroyo, Malissa Arroyo, Thomas Duffy, Kathryn Duffy, Salvatore Caldario, Brittany Caldario, Alexander Gordon and Joseph Gordon; his sister Jeanette Armatha Wegrzyn (Richard); his mother-in-law June; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Oleszkiewicz (Anthony), Brian Gembara (Kristin), Joanne Zintak (David) and Mark Gembara. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
With respect to State of Illinois Guidelines of Phase 4 during this time of Covid -19, the visitation is limited to 50 people or less at any time, we ask those attending to please keep one's visit brief to allow all to attend.
