He was predeceased by: his parents, Aniela Mietus and Franciszek Mietus; and his siblings, Jan Mietus (Maria) and Anna Mietus. He is survived by: his wife Zofia "Sophie"; his children, Chester Mietus (Agnieszka), Roman Mietus (Marta) and Eva Goryl (Zbigniew); his grandchildren, Anna Mietus, Amelia Mietus, Tom Goryl and Maya Goryl; and his brother Bruno Mietus (Wladyslawa).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium (7861 88th Ave, Justice, IL 60458). A prayer will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Saint Fabian Church (7450 W 83rd St, Bridgeview, IL 60455).
