Vanderploeg; his siblings, Michele Kolek (Eugene), Annette Vanderploeg, Paul Vanderploeg (Carol) and Dominic Vanderploeg (Jean Ann); his nieces and nephews, Dominic Poggi (Andrea), Nicholas Poggi, Amanda Kolek, Eric Vanderploeg, Alyssa Vanderploeg, Mark Manganese (Casey), Karri Manganese, Lisa Zwiers (Zack), Michael Yucuis (Noel), Scot Yucuis and David Yucuis (Kristine); his parents-in-law, Sue and Mark Manganese; and his brother-in-law Guy Manganese. He was also cherished by great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
