It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna G. Kowalkowska (Justice, Illinois), who passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Anna departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Anna may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Anna leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley Kowalkowski; her sibling Jan Gorz; and her parents, Rozalia Gorz and Andrzej Gorz. She is survived by: her children, Jane Janowiak (Emil), Larry Kowalkowski (Kathy) and Roman Kowalkowski; and her grandsons, Daniel and Kevin Janowiak.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM at the Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium (7861 88th Ave, Justice, IL 60458). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cyril and Methodius Church (608 Sobieski St, Lemont, IL 60439).
