He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanislawa Buksa and Jozef Buksa; and his sibling Jan Buksa. He is survived by: his spouse Elzbieta Buksa; his children, Izabela Buksa (late Marek Waz) and Jerome Buksa (Jennifer Clark-Buksa); his grandchildren, Bridget Vivacqua, Jakub Buksa and Stephanie Buksa; and his siblings, Maria Tarnowski (Jan), Krystyna Pietura (Stanislaw) and Janina Krzysztofiak (Andrzej). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
