He was predeceased by: his parents, George Burden and Erdine Burden (Bradley); and his wife Joy Burden. He is survived by: his children, Britta Dawn Mueting (Robert) and Erin Renae Dean (Michael); his adoptive children, Gabrielle Laursen (John) and John Matkovcik (Ingra); his grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremy Forth, Declan, Laryssa Markel, EmmaJo, Percy (Katie), Sadie, Josie Dean, Stephanie, Brandy, Zach, Ellen Laursen and Zoe Matkovcik; and his great grandchildren, Raelyn Laursen, Avianna and Isaiah Schlotter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
