She was predeceased by: her parents, Denver Matthews and Katherine Matthews; her husband Lyle Henry Tharp; her sons, Jerry Tharp and John Tharp; her siblings, Lucy Pestle, Jim "Panther" Matthews and George Matthews; and her half-brother Larry Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Artus (Daniel) of Reynolds, Karen Tharp of Joy, Ed Tharp of Aledo and Rick Tharp (Gillian) of Millersburg; her grandchildren, Aaron, Lori, Mindy, Carrie, Krissi, Amy, Gina, Joey, Lyle Jr., Cody and Kyle; her brother Denny Matthews of Milan; and her half-brothers, Pete Matthews, Arthur Matthews and Donnie Matthews of Muscatine. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren.
