She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest King and Louise Story (Deahl); her husband Melvin L. Harville; her grandson Damon Lynn Harville; her son-in-law Leroy Kommer; and her siblings, Bob King, Dorothy Lewis, Lula Bell Becker, Moss Story, Harley "Bub" Story, John D. Story and Carroll "Popeye" Story.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret "Sissy" Kommer, Melanie Barnett (Jerry), Melvin Harville Jr. (Teresa) and Myron Harville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Burnett, Tracee Childers (Clay), Joey Barnett (Maggie), Casey Crowell (Patrick) and Paige Harville; her great grandchildren, Chaney, Andy Sutton, Austin, Brandon Barnett, Januari Burnett and Brooks Crowell; and her siblings, Margaret Black (Tom), Peggy Vaughn, Irene "Dago" Freeman, Debbie Saylor (James), Jim King (Pearl), Pete Story (Barbara), Frank Story, Norris Story and Jerry Story (Deloris). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Ethel's name to Joppa Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 276, Joppa, IL 62953.
