He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Gurley and Willma Gurley (Musgrave); his stepparents, Paul Davis and Ann Gurley; his parents-in-law, Ted Goins and Susie Goins; his siblings, Lori Duncan and Bernard Davis; and his brother-in-law Jeff Goins.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Gurley; his children, Rachel Gurley (Kevin Washer) and Michael Yana (Ivy); his grandchildren, Lily, Holly, Allie Yana, Drake and Cheyenne Roach; and his siblings, Carlos Gurley (Sharon), Mike Gurley (Melissa), Paula Wright (Rick) and LouAnn Roquemore (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude's. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
