He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Harris and Alta Sue Harris (Johnson); his daughter-in-law Tammy Harris; and his brother Gene Harris. He is survived by: his wife Anita Harris; his children, LaDona Blue (Mike) of East Alton, IL, Alan Harris of Central City, KY and Brian Harris of Gainesville, GA; his grandchildren, Jessica Carter (Tim), Brandon Blue (Trina), Ryan Harris (Shontae), Tyler Harris (Kayla), Brianna Bedzyk (Matt), Danielle Cosgrove (Jay) and Derek Harris; and his siblings, Daniel Staten, Patricia Graves and Jeannine Griffith. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle (505 W Mississippi St, Jonesboro, IL 62952). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Jonesboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle.
