With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Oscar Nance of Jonesboro, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Stanley and Ida Louise Nance (Canada); his former wife Opal Joyce Nance; his sons, Kenny Nance and Faron Nance; his great grandchild Noah Ross-Cheatham; his brothers, Jim (Mae Nance) and Bobby Nance; and his brother-in-law Ed Heern.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nance (Clark) of Jonesboro; his children, Elaine (Jay Ross) of Makanda and Dennis (Diane Nance) of Cobden; his stepchildren, Rhonda (Wilson Hughey) of Carbondale, Georgia Jackson of Carbondale and Randall (Sandy Johnson) of Carbondale; and his siblings, Roscoe (Linda Nance) of Cobden and Dean Heern of Carbondale. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; step grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the Makanda Baptist Church.
