He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Jones and Sybil Jones (Smith); his sons-in-law, Ron Sheffer and Steve Dawson; and his siblings, Norma Edwards, Clifford Jones and Tommy Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Jones of Jonesboro; his children, Kathy Sheffer of Benton, Brenda Dawson of Benton, Blake Reed of St. Louis and Stacy DeHarpart (Gary) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Heather Baldwin (Chris) of Yukon, OK, Jeremy Sheffer (Lindsey) of Benton, Sara Hilton (Josh) of Carterville, Amber Blythe of Benton, Katelynn Arrison (Austin) of Vienna, Garrett Cook (Alivia) of Cypress and Nathan Betts (Jill) of Vienna; and his brothers, Wendell Jones of Lick Creek and Jimmy Jones (Bonnie) of Vienna. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and two more on the way; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home (301 W Spring St, Anna, IL 62906). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Anna Cemetery (608 E Davie St, Anna, IL 62906). A burial was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the same location.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the Illinois Veteran's Home in Anna.
