He was predeceased by: his son William M. Wheeler Jr.; his parents, Gridley Wheeler and Helen Theiler; his sister Helen "Snooky" Wheeler; and his parents-in-law, Anton Marizza and Isabel Marizza.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria I. Wheeler; his children, Deborah Klein Sr (Donald), Barbara Wheeler and Joseph Wheeler; his grandchildren, Amy Wurth (Monty) and Donald Klein Jr (Erika); his great grandchildren, Alyssa Wurth, Mia Wurth and Simone Klein; his sister Terrie Cairns (John); and his siblings-in-law, Norma Mandella and Richard Mandella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
