William J. Mammosser Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William J. Mammosser (Joliet, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. "Bud" Mammosser and Alyce M. Mammosser (Hutton); his siblings, Judith Speckman (Ray) and Thomas Mammosser; his granddaughter Emily Irene Mammosser; his brothers, Dr. Robert Markelz (Evelyn), Jack Markelz (Janet) and James Markelz (Marge); and also, Anthony and Angela Markelz (Kostelz).
He is survived by: his wife Jean E. Mammosser (Markelz); his children, Mark Mammosser (Wendy), David Mammosser, Brian Mammosser (Albina), Gail Fry (Michael), Lori Mammosser and Nancy Mammosser; his grandchildren, Joseph Mammosser (Ashley), Jack Mammosser and Katie Severson (Jesse); his great grandchildren, Maddox Mammosser, Gavin Mammosser and Shay Woodruff; his siblings, Joan Jerome, Gerald Mammosser and James Floyd; and his sister-in-law Sharon Mammosser.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tezak's Home (1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435).
In 2019, he joined the Knights of Colombus Joliet Council #10637 to enforce their core principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, which instilled his love of God, country, and family.
