He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Day and Virginia Day; his son William "BJ" Day Jr.; and his sister Cathy Martin. He is survived by: his daughter Katreania; his grandsons, Jo'voun Johnson (Torri) and Deven Johnson (Alyssa); his great grandchild Grayson Johnson; and his siblings, Denny Day (Hilda), Kevin Day (late Penny), Ronnie Day (Mary), Rusty Day and Patti Day.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
