She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas "Tim" Remus and Eileen "Toots" Remus (Witty); her daughter Eileen Szydlo; and her siblings-in-law, Leo Bookout, Joseph DeBretto, John Vanisko, Mike Chizmark and Rosemary Maloney DeBretto.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Maloney of Joliet; her children, Mike Maloney (Sheryl), Mary Lynn Maloney (Victor Judd) and Chris Maloney (Tina); her son-in-law Ed Szydlo; her sisters, Ruth Bookout and Kitty Moore (John); and her sisters-in-law, Alice Vanisko and Kathleen Sefcik (Don). She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home (1500 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Queen of Apostles Catholic Church (18 Woodlawn Ave, Joliet, IL 60435).
