She was predeceased by: her parents, Celestino Velasquez and Marie Velasquez (Busch); and her brother-in-law Larry Strickland. She is survived by: her siblings, Kathleen Richards (James), Shelia Strickland and Glenn Velasquez (Kimberly). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
