With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald J. Fowler (Joliet, Illinois), who passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Renee Whalen; his parents, Loretta Wortmann and Leo Wortmann; and his sister Judy Ashley. He is survived by: his wife Judy Fowler (Minnick); his children, Kristi Castillo and Ronald Fowler Jr. (Kim); his grandchildren, Carson Castillo (Genesis), Kaylyn Castillo and Joshua Fowler (Alexandra); his siblings, Brenda Fenili (Sam), Loretta Blankenship and William Fowler; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Buske (Mike), Denise Johnson (Tim Alexander), John Minnick (Terry) and Roy Minnick (Nancy).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (40 Houbolt Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
In lieu of flowers memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society in Ron's name would be appreciated.
