He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Beatrice Hendrix and Horace Lawrence; his son Derrick Sewell; his aunts, Georgia Mae Christian and Katie Langford; his brothers, John Langford and James Langford; his niece Tunicia April; and his mother-in-law Earnestine Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Byrd Hendrix; his children, Rodney Dean Sewell, Shanna Nichol Sewell and Lakendel Evans; his brothers, Carey Hendrix and Paul Hendrix; his grandchildren, Brandon Sewell, Corey, Cor'Sean Coreon and Ja'Nylah; his nieces and nephews, Airrace, Eric (Lakeisha), Marc Jr., Edward, Erica (Marquis) and Aisha (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Annette Hendrix.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Minor-Morris Funeral Home, Ltd. (112 Richards St, Joliet, IL 60433). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
