She was predeceased by: her father Robert Weems; her former husband Richard E. Duncan; her son Corey Weems; and her brother John D. Whitfield, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Pauline Barker Weems Whitfield; her daughter April Weems-Lockhart (Robert Tyrone); and her siblings, Arthur Weems (Shirley) of Joliet, Illinois, Michael Barker-Whitfield (Earnestine) of Joliet, Illinois, Kevin D. Whitfield of Joliet, Illinois, Carmen Johnson (LeRoy) and Sylvia Landery (Orlando). She is also survived by her personal Pastor) and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Minor-Morris Funeral Home, Ltd. (112 Richards St, Joliet, IL 60433).
