It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert A. Long of Joliet, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Long and John J. Long; his wife Marilyn; his great grandchild Ava Mullins; his siblings, Thomas Long (Martha), Loretta Sullivan (James), John Long (Alice), Barrett Long (Catherine), Margaret Long, Norman Long (Pauline), Donald Long and Beverly Feehan (Thomas); and his siblings-in-law, William Burt (Phyllis) and Joan Nielsen (Robert).
He is survived by: his children, Kerry Long (Tom Manaher), Connie Myers (Richard), Barrett Long (Jeanne) and Erin Springman (Matthew); his grandchildren, Bridget Mullins (Vince), Kevin Springman, Mary Kate Selling (Scott) and Maggie Long; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Jack Mullins, Cooper and Nelly Selling. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
