He is survived by: his wife Leticia Chavez; his children, Karina Alvarez, Pedro Chavez and Karla Chavez; his granddaughters, Montzerratt Esparza and Abigail Esparza; his mother Guadalupe Chavez; and his siblings, Amparo Cuevas, Josefina Diaz, Francisco Chavez, Ignacio Chavez, Reyna Diaz, Guadalupe Chavez, Miguel Angel Chavez and Angela Ochoa.
