He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bloom and Betty Bloom; and his wife Maria Elena Bloom. He is survived by: his sons, Louis Bloom of Lockport, IL and Brian Jeffrey Bloom of Lorton, VA; his grandchildren, Aiden, Amanda Bloom, Austin Bloom and Angelina Muzzarelli; and his siblings, Eileen Rogers and Ronald Bloom.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
