Astrom (Joliet, Illinois), born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bror Astrom and Alice Astrom (Dunston); his siblings, Ronny Astrom and Barbara Astrom; and his nephew Bob Astrom.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Krippel Astrom (Boban); his children, Kipley Astrom (Norma), Kristine Alcalde (Jorge), Kathryn Astrom, Karin Scheidt (Robert), Richard Krippel (Tiffany) and Kyle Krippel (Linda Froelke); his grandchildren, Clayton Astrom (Zahra), Dr. Courtney Koppenhaver-Astrom (Sarah), Zoey Astrom (Jordan Steacker), Kylee Krippel (Bleon Salihu), Kari McNicholas (Kameron), Brandon Krippel, Bailey Krippel and Taryn Hancock (Darren); his great grandchildren, Jaxxon Hancock and Sutton Hancock; his brother Gordon Astrom (Francie); his niece Dr. Kristin Astrom (Jess Teton); his brother-in-law Bob Boban (Rene); his parents-in-law, Milan and Gretchen Boban; and his caregiver Holly.
