It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jovita Figueroa Arroyo (Joliet, Illinois), who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonifacio Figueroa and Augstina Arroyo. She is survived by: her daughters, Reyna Castillo and Yolanda Diaz; her grandchildren, Claudia Saavedra (Richard), Yesenia Aguas (Victor), Fernando Castillo Jr. (Tania), Lesly, Ariana, Richard A. Saavedra, Victor A. Aguas, Jaslene and Fernando A. Castillo; her sister Belen Guzman; her husband Jose Zavala; her son Ismael Zavala (Milo); and her sons-in-law, Fernando Castillo Sr. and Agustin Diaz.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Delgado Funeral Chapel (400 Landau Ave, Joliet, IL 60432). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (205 E Jackson St, Joliet, IL 60432). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (23060 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL 60431).
