It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Szopinski (Joliet, Illinois), who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Szopinski and Mary Szopinski (Bodnar); his brothers, Bob and Denny; his in-laws, Nick and Theresa Esler (Dragovan); and his pet Russel.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his children, Jamie Haake (Brett), Alison Szopinski (Madura Wijewardena) and Nick Szopinski (Joselyn Williams); his grandchildren, Kamryn, Katelyn, Asha, Sahan and Brynn; his nieces, Beth Szopinski and Jill Fogg (Ben); his great-nephew Charlie; and his sister-in-law Nikki Stowe (late Norm).
