He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Unger Schmidt; his children, Melissa Schmidt, Christopher Unger and Ashley Unger; his father Albert Schmidt; his siblings, Ken Schmidt and Judy Graf (Rob); his nieces and nephews, Natalie Oesch (Kyle), Austin Graf (Rachel), Spencer Graf, Elise Moody, Kevin Moody (Patty), Ryan, Jenna and Brett Moody; his mother-in-law Geraldine Moody; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Moody (Colleen), David Moody (late Lynn) and Debra Byrnes (Michael).
