With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria J. Chimmy of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno Paluch and Wanda Paluch. She is survived by: her husband Robert R. Chimmy; her children, Robert J. Chimmy, Patricia Twombly, III (Robert T.) and Thomas E. Chimmy (Karen); her grandchildren, Ryan Dougherty, Heather A. Twombly (Richard Sutton), Robert T. Twombly, IV (Lynette), Zachary T. Twombly, Thomas J. Chimmy, Patrick N. Chimmy (Kaitlynn), Catherine M. Chimmy (Nick George) and Tiffany N. Chimmy; her great grandchildren, Lexi, Audrey, Kinsley, Robert V, Becka, Beverly, Delilah, Blake, Aron, Claire, Makinley and Bentley; her brothers, Jerome M. Paluch and Ronald Paluch (Paula); and her nieces and nephews, Robert Paluch and Stacy Southard (Brian).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
