He was predeceased by: his wife Connie; his parents, Floyd Kettwig and Bessie Kettwig; and his brother Donald Kettwig. He is survived by: his sister Naomi Haggerty; his sons, Gary Markley (Karla) and R. Michael Markley (Kristine); his nephew Larry Kettwig; his nieces, Nancy Fox (David) and Tracy Stehlik (Daniel); his grandchildren, Jeri Markley, Stefanie Cannon, Stacie Volpe (Tony), Jacob Markley (Meghan) and Sara Papendorf (David); and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Sophia, Benjamin, Nicholas, Makaylah, Dominic, Carie and James.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
