She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Gene Strait and Mildred Irene Briggs (Skelding-Strait); her stepfather Roger Briggs; her grandparents, William Skelding (Pearl), Louella Blake and William Strait; her brothers, Timothy Strait and Douglas Strait; and her in-laws, Manuel Nunez (Juanita), Richard Nunez and Manuel Nunez Jr..
She is survived by: her stepmother Ramona Strait (Ward); her husband David Joseph Nunez; her siblings, Darlene Floyd (Willie), Curtis Strait (Lori), Michele Coe (Russ), Rhonda Dawson Dickson (Ronnie) and Ronnie Anderson (Amber); and her in-laws, Joann Brown (Paul), Mary Nunez, Rita De La (Nunez), Ray De La Rosa and Nancy Nunez. She is also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, continuing her legacy of generosity and care.
