She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Almazan (Ortiz) and Crispin Almazan; her son Jose Martinez; her husband Francisco Martinez; her siblings, Elodia Almazan and Fernando Almazan; and her nephews, Gilberto Covarrubias and Javo Almazan.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Martinez, Maria Barron (Marco), Sylvia Mora (Noe) and Melisa Martinez; and her grandchildren, John, Alicia, Victoria, Francisco, Isabel, Alexander, Angel, Amyra, Analiz, Lezlie, Aylin, Abelin, Aiden, Mallinalli and Ollin. She is also survived by her siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 8:45 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (205 E Jackson St, Joliet, IL 60432). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
