He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Nichols Evans and Alfreda Evans (Johanson); his stepmother Eleanore Evans (Linder); his brother Ralph "Dale"; his sister-in-law Virginia Evans (Buell); his sister Letitia Kay (Evans); his brother-in-law Roger C. Allen; his half-brother Thomas Linder Evans; his stepsister Joan Greenberg (Pankow); his siblings-in-law, Louis, Christine Calcaterra (Shimek), Floyd, Norma Calcaterra (McCluckie), Joseph C. and Georgine M. Szawars (Calcaterra); his nephew Edward D. Evans (Susan Pankow); his niece Joanne M. Peceniak (Szawars); and his daughter-in-law Linda C. Mackey Evans (McCormick).
He is survived by: his significant other Teresa Joan Calcaterra; his sons, Dale and David Evans (Susie); his grandchildren, Heidi Carr (Anne Brinkman) and Scott Evans (Dana); his great grandchildren, Grady Evans, Eli Evans and Cole Carr; his stepbrother Charles "Chuck" Wood (Jenny); and his sister-in-law Betty Evans (Henkel). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1015 Winthrop Ave, Joliet, IL 60435). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Rialto Square Theatre Foundation in Joliet and/or another charity of your choice.
