She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Chasteen and Anna Virginia Chasteen (Brown); her husband Virgil B. Richison; her brothers, Burton Chasteen (Ruth) and Robert Chasteen (Nadine); and her brother-in-law Robert "Ribs" Savant.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Smith III (John) of Denton, TX, Kenneth Richison (Rachel) of Macon, MO and Debra Richison of Johnston City; and her sister Edna Savant. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.
