He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Eugene "Gene" and Leah Jean Burgess (Adams); his brother Barry Burgess; and his sister-in-law Linda Burgess. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Caudill (John) of Carterville and Amy Burgess of Johnston City; his grandchildren, Lillian Judd, Karson Caudill of Carterville and Shane Caudill (Alicia) of Kissimmee, FL; his great grandchild Audrey Caudill of Kissimmee, FL; his nephews, Wesley Burgess (Becky) of St. Louis, MO and Joseph Burgess of Chicago; his niece Bethany Taylor (Aaron); and his sons, Phillip and Johnnie of Carterville. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, through Murman Wilson Funeral Home.
