He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Eberhardt and Myrtie Eberhardt (Dorris); his wife Charlene Sue Ray; his son Jerry Ray; and his siblings, John Edgar (Rachel Panty), Glen Eugene (Juanita Claunch), Earl Ray, Delba Marjorie Hunter (Wallace) and Dorothy Sharknas (Joe).

He is survived by: his granddaughter Payton Rae Eberhardt. He is also survived by many nieces and a nephew.
